He wiped his forehead in an exaggerated sign of relief. “I’m glad! I didn’t want to lose friends already.” He said as he, once again, threw an arm around the girls shoulders. He leaned in close, a grimace on his face, “People would make fun of me, y’know?”
He grinned as Sandra made the drinking comment, passing his glass to Piene. “Yeah you two are going to have to drink for me also.” He sniffed. In a way it was vaguely disappointing, he had been looking forward to drinking with the newfound friends. Then again it wasn’t like he could stay all that mad – afterall, he now had his other half with him. He snapped his fingers, looking down at the dragonet – who was currently curled up on the ground, staring at everyone. “Laeth, meet Sandra and Piene.”
The hatchling lazily picked up his head and bugled a greeting, tail swishing amongst the ground again. He swiveled his head to stare at the brown. Greetings Clutch-brother! I’m Laeth and I’m sure Mine will lighten up Yours. The blues head bobbled slightly, a nod or two. K’ellMine! Light up His
“Give me enough time and everyone will be making cracks about how Laeth is just like me. Late all the time.” K’ell moaned to A’noth. “I’m K’ell, by the way.” He grinned before pausing. Wait a tick. He had met this boy already. Haha, oh well! He was getting another introduction.
Actually, it was his third time introducing himself to A’noth.

"Greetings. How are you and your Silth?" Danathi's smile warmed as he approached. "Doing well, thanks, V'kem. He's off with some of the greens, chatting up a storm," her eyes became unfocused for a second. "And he sends his regards, as well. How are you and Teglth?" Nearby, the Harpers' playing was audible, but not loud enough to interfere with concentration. She tapped her foot softly in time to the song, not really aware of doing so.

~Sandra~ With a laugh, she turned, giving K'ell a quick hug before stepping back. "I don't think good luck is a reason to shove away a friend." she said, smiling brightly. "Besides, I for one will have fun when the next round of canidates come in." That might of been the wine talking, it might not have, Sandra wasn't caring any more.
"And it's nice to meet your Laeth."
~A'noth~ He couldn't help but grin. "You going to remind me your name every time I run into you?" he asked, a half attempted joke. Mnesilth wanted him to be social, them fine. Maybe having another dragonet to speak with would get the brown to leave him in peace a bit.
I do hope so, brother Laeth. Yours seems much more open to others, mine is reluctant. Mnesilth, while not overly social himself, did not enjoy the boredom of quiet.
~V'kem~ "We are well. Teglth is currently not letting me back to sleep until he thinks I've been social enough, and Kaino is..." He'd been about to continue to say sleeping, but a firelizard coming between, noticably a brown made him stop. "...Realizing there was food here he could beg for." He finished. True to this, V'kem was being sent feelings of hunger and annoyance.
That was until Kaino spotted his new favorite human. Fluttering toward Danathi, he chirped pleafully.

Luna felt a slow smile stretch across her face. A good, healthy clutch. No horrific maulings. The Candidates had all come out alive at least. The feast was going well so far, music, people, dragons, all lovely. She set her glass down as she discovered she was quite, delightfully, lightheaded already. Not enough to impede her judgment, but definitely enough to ease her nerves.
Spotting Yimian, Luna made her way over. The Weyr Healer had turned out to be a decent companion, plus it wouldn't hurt to make sure everyone had come out okay. In the fevor of the moment in a Hatching, injuries were often down played to stay on the Sands. Especially, that one girl, Pasine? With the blue. She'd stayed on the Sands for a while with her leg bleeding. "Good Morning Master Yimian. I do hope everyone ended up all right? The Candidates didn't look too bad, but infections or cuts ... ?" She was really hoping it was all right, she really didn't want to muse about what could have happened. It was already hard to think about the brown. Her first egg ever Between. How bad of an omen was that? First egg, first clutch, first Weyr and it went forever away.
-----------
R'dyn shifted his clothes and posture for that had to be the fifth time in the same candlemark. He was still feeling a little out of his element. This wasn't that different from any social gathering at his parent's place. Which is perhaps why he wasn't comfortable. He never did like the really big Gathers. Something a little less public, a little more intimate with maybe only thirty or so people. As his green eyes swept the place again, he noticed a couple a little off to the side drinking. Well, it was at least not in the middle.
He studied the pair equally. He wasn't one to discriminate on gender. Loving was loving. Although he'd never say it in such a desperate way. It wasn't until he was practically there that he noticed the loud yells. A dragon was moving through the crowd. And it came to Impress a boy that was with the pair he'd set his sights on. Then came the WW and more riders. His brow drew down in frustration. Couldn't they just shardin' leave him alone? After a candlemark it seemed everyone turned their attention back to the music or their partners.
"Congratulations" He dipped his head to K'ell on his way for a glass. When he turned around again, someone else had joined the little group. He gave a mental sigh and just decided to go with it. He'd seduce the entire group away from here if that's what it took. He wasn't sure why he wanted a group all to himself. But he also wasn't going to try to figure out why he had to always be acknowledge and awe'ed over.
Well, at the very least, a few in the group weren't bad to look at. Sandra and K'ell getting extra glances. Not in the creepy way, he knew how to look without being caught out. Unless he thought it would lead somewhere. Feeling at a loss for words, he hummed along with the harpers, his pleasant baritone a great accompaniment to the music. It wasn't too loud, but those closest might hear him.

“Hugs? For me? Excellent!” K’ell said as he clapped his hands together before waggling a finger at the girl, “You can’t corrupt them without me Sand!” He wanted to ruin the innocent minds of candidates too!
Laeth looked up at the girl as she said his name and crooned happily. Look K’ell, your dragon could make friends also! He turned his head back to face the brown, That’s because he likes everyone. Laeth would probably understand how exact his words were when he was older.
K’ell grinned and shrugged casually, “Some people use a motto to get remembered, I just repeat my name a lot of times. And it apparently works.” Or maybe his memory never kicked in before his words left his mouth. He probably would introduce himself a few more times to A’noth…poor kid. He glanced at the other boy who had joined, the one who congratulated him and grinned.
“You too man. You Impressed in the stands right? That’s gotta be pretty exciting.” K’ell said as he bobbed his head up and down. Stand Impression, to K’ell at least, were extremely exciting. Imagine just sitting there having a good time and then pow! A dragon scrambling up the stairs, telling you that you better go to him/ her. “A blue, yeah?”

~Sandra~ As two new faces joined the group, Sandra felt her smile grow, if that was even possible at this point. Two more of the weyrlings. Still, she wasn't minding the company. Had she stopped to think, Sandra might have been a bit uncomfortable being the only girl in a group of five now. At this point thouhg, the thought hadn't even begun to cross her mind.
"Hello. I don't know either of you, but I'm Sandreline. Feel free to call me Sandra or, as K'ell does, Sand." she said, shaking hair that had fallen onto her face back.
~A'noth~ As another joined the group, A'noth took a step away. He didn't want to join a huge crowd. It just wasn't what he was used to. In time, he might get more accepting of people, but not now. Come on Mnesilth, I'll grab some food, and we'll go sleep.
The brown twitched his tail in annoyance, but agreed sleep was needed. Goodbye for now Laenth. We go sleep now. He was polite before turning a scold on A'noth. I was making a friend. If I wasn't so tired, I would... I know, bite me...

"Yeah," he responded, K'ell's grin being a little infectious he smiled back. "Blue Zayth." He chuckled, "I'm not sure it beat yours. At least mine Impressed during the hatching. You left and then he came to you." He dipped his head, "Sandreline, pleasure to meet you. I'm R'dyn of blue Zayth." Well, didn't he just sound like a suave dragonrider already. Introducing himself by honorific and dragon already. He was slightly disappointed when one left, a brownrider? But he supposed that just meant he got more spotlight. Plus, brownriders weren't known for being, well, like him.

Sandra smirked, winking at R'dyn to be funny. "Nice to meet you. It seemes I'm doing a good job of meeting the blueriders around here." she joked. Not that it was a bad thing. She liked K'ell and his sense of humor, and R'dyn seemed like he would be interesting enough. So far, for not impressing, Sandra was enjoying herself. She was making friends, which eased the sting of being left standing by far.

Danathi "We are well. Teglth is currently not letting me back to sleep until he thinks I've been social enough, and Kaino is..." V'kem's pause made Danathi look around, smiling, even before she spotted Kaino, "...Realizing there was food here he could beg for." "Oh dear." She snagged a meatroll off a platter, offering it. "Teglth's being a matchmaker too? Or just wanting you to have more company? Silth does that to me on occasion too..." though her blue rarely had to go that far. "A Hatching tends to bring out people's sentimental sides, I notice." Dragons included! Though she really couldn't blame V'kem for feeling edgy, if he did. If you weren't partial to crowds, this wasn't the best situation. She didn't think she knew even half the people here.
