Appearance:Tall and beanpole skinny, almost six foot five. He has enough freckles for three people, and a dark tan. Brown-haired, and blue-eyed, with a rumpled look about him no matter how well he tries to dress up. He "talks" a lot with his hands, and wouldn't know a poker face if it bit him. Everything he's feeling shows in his eyes or body language. His hands are callused from years of making and playing various instruments.
Personality:Quiet, good-natured, and tolerant almost to a fault.You'll rarely see him lose his patience, but when he does? Look out. "Explosion" will be an understatement. He loves music more than almost anything else in the world. Creative,intelligent, and a keen observer with a trained memory and eye for detail.

Appearance: Rove is a large dog, descended from the German Shepherd breed. She has black and tan markings over her body, and is long-legged and muscular. This is clearly a working dog, not a lap pet.
Description:Rove is protective of Laostlin. While she's intelligent and friendly,she tends to be a bit cautious of new acquaintances at first. Tolerates dragons and other animals well enough, but not really warm toward them.

Appearance: Short and stocky, though much more of his weight is muscle than you'd think at a casual glance. He's physically quite strong, built like a wrestler. His hair is that color of red that's closer to orange, and has fair skin that burns very easily. It won't stop him from going outdoors, however, so it's not unusual to see him with a peeling sunburn.
Personality: Zil'shen would say that he doesn't think fast, but thinks things all the way through. He has a brutally self-honest streak, knowing that he's not as bright as some of his peers, nor suited to leadership, even without being a low-ranked rider. It doesn't bother him for the most part. He takes pride in his work, and aside from his responsibilities, just lets himself enjoy life. He's been a 'big brother' of sorts to weyrlings or Candidates at Benden, in the past, particularly for those who are unused to how different weyr life may be from Hold or Hall. He is a good listener and will tell you the truth as he sees it, if you ask, rather than what may 'smooth things over'.

Appearance: Palyth is average size, for a green, and a lovely shade of soft jade green, with little in the way of variation, though her underbelly and legs are slightly darker, one has to look closely to spot it.
Personality: Chatty, outgoing,and lively, a bit of a flirt, particularly with dragons whom she hasn't met before. She loves new places and people, and is, in truth, a bit of a show-off. Zil'shen's long since stopped trying to tell her that he doesn't *really* like flying upside down loops, even if he is strapped in securely. For example.

Appearance: Idara has curly, thick brown hair, and wide hazel eyes set in a heart-shaped face. She's on the skinny side, though not to the point of unhealthily so. Fair-skinned, and of average height.
Personality:Idara's not the easiest person to deal with. She is restless to the point of hyperactive, the only time this girl sits still is if she's asleep. She has a tendency to be impatient with those who can't or won't keep up with her. The usual "feminine" pastimes such as gossip or boy-chasing don't interest her. She's a perfectionist, refusing to settle for what comes easily. While on the few times she does let herself relax, she's good company, lively and has a wry sense of humor, those are rare occasions.

Appearance: The woman hasn't an ounce of fat on her, despite her being thick-bodied and tall. It's all muscle from decades of hard Craft work. Her skin's ruddy, and shows scar tissue from burns or past accidents, visible on her arms and hands, as well as a long scar that cuts across her right cheek. Her chestnut hair's just starting to show a few strands of white. Brown eyes are set in a stern, angular face, and crow's feet and laugh lines have set in permanently.
Personality: Calline is a very take-charge, assertive woman. To rise in her craft, she's had to be. She has little gentleness in her nature, though she's not cruel. She rarely lets emotions show, let alone govern her behavior. One has to know her for a long time, before she'll let her professional facade drop. She's easier around animals than her fellow humans, much of the time. She has impeccable manners, but socializing would be one of the last things she'd do for "fun."
