Name: I'ner
Age: Nineteen
Gender: Male
Sexual Preference: Heterosexual, at least, that's what most assume he is.
Rank: Weyrling
Family:
Father: Ignolon (Dead)
Mother: Nerila (Dead)
Foster mother: Laenoren
Appearance: Imner looks as if he's going to reach six foot tall when he's fully grown, though now he stands at five feet six inches. He has a muscular build, solid and balanced, though it's not slabs of muscle, it's more lean strength. Skin is lightly tanned, mostly hiding the few freckles dotting features. His hair is a light brown, though is often considered blond, and has slight red tints to it. It is cut short and close to his scalp, barely longer than an inch. Eyes are a stormy gray in color, though they project a warmth more often than irritation or anger. Down his left forearm runs a long, still fading from irritated red, ragged, scar, an incident that happened while standing at a Hatching. He is often considered ruggedly handsome, with a broad face and mobile features. Upon his right wrist he wears a bangle of jade and copper that he made himself, just before being Searched.
Clothes are usually clean, though more often than not they smell like dirt or sweat--a working man's clothes. They tend to be in shades of brown and tan, sometimes blue, and are usually loose on his frame. There are often patches seen in various places, and don't appear to be applied with very great craftsmanship. Imner's fingers aren't nimble enough to be good with a needle.
Personality: He is calm and collected, and very loyal and protective of his chosen group of friends. It is not often one will see a scowl or signs of anger on broad features. However, when he does get angry, the only way he manages to calm down is to get out and by himself, usually to sit and stare at the sky. Imner has never once been called lazy, and he won't ask anyone to do anything that he is not willing to do himself. He will do everything he can unless a shortness of time prevents him from doing so. He has a strong sense of duty, and occasionally only sees things in black and white.
Imner has often been considered slow of the mind in the past, or even been called shy because he does not speak much. Neither of these is true. He simply is quiet, and sees no point in speaking if there is no reason too. The lad does not mince words either. He will state what he thinks regardless, all the while using the least amount of words possible.
He is also considered stoic or solemn. It is uncommon to catch a full smile spread across features, and even rarer to see him fully grin. Most can't remember ever hearing him laugh, either.
History: Imner grew up in a miner hold, a foster son, for his parents had died in a mining accident. He was a good lad, and always did everything asked of him in a timely manner. He never shirked chores, never tried to pass them off on someone else. However, if someone were nice to him, he would often help them with their chores, or switch duties with them. It seemed that his speciality was going to lie toward that of jewelery and gems, the lad having the patience required to carefully extract the crystals and stones from rock, though he cannot truly shape them as well as someone with nimbler fingers might.
This did not happen as often as some might think though, for since he was a sturdy lad, those of quieter dispositions mistook him for a bully. These rumours, and those of his intelligence were put to rest though, when he happened across another lad threatening a small boy into doing his chores. Imner had gotten himself into his first fist fight, and won. He wouldn't stand for seeing anyone bullied, and soon if any of the younger kids had troubles, he was the run they ran to instead of adults who would find their troubles trifling.
While a green dragon was at the hold to inquire about production, Imner was Searched. So far he has been to only one Hatching where he did not Impress, though he did earn himself a nasty scar down his arm when two hatchlings started fighting near him. He'd stepped forward to knock a lad from a very irritated green's path on her way to the female Candidates, while her blue brother had stomped off the other way.
Now he has come to one of the newest Weyrs, hearing it needed more people. He wasn't truly needed where he had been, and Surion sounded as if they could use a steady worked. Perhaps he could even Impress and be of further help to the Weyrwoman.
And Impress I'ner did. To a bronze who at first looked like he was going to try and eat a fellow Candidate. As it was, when he burst from his shell, fragments injured a girl who also hoping for a chance at Impression. The lad was quite pleased to know she wasn't seriously injured, and that was the only true wound inflicted at the Hatching.
Dragon
Name: Crirth
Color: Bronze
Appearance: Crirth is a large hatchling, and it seems he's only going to get even bigger. He certainly will be on the large side of the scales for his color, though everyone will have to wait to see just where he does fall. As it is, he is a nearly perfectly proportioned creature, thickly muscled with a deep chest, powerful legs, and strong arching neck. The movements of these ligaments are well noted, for a very catching shade of liquid bronze creates highlights over a far more antiqued metallic sheen. He is certainly not fast, but it is obvious that he can stay up longer and end the exercises in a far less weary state that his clutchsiblings.
Personality: This bronze is...a king. Crirth is a demanding fellow, especially after he is just woken up. He greatly dislikes being forced to get up, and he is exceptionally irritable when hungry. He is haughty, commanding, and aloof. And yet, he knows when he has pushed the bounds. He will apologize eventually, even if it may take him a while to realize his error. He is also steadfast, and it is clear he could be an unshakable and unflappable ally if one can bear to deal with his less agreeable moods.
Other: I'ner does not really like fire lizards. The lad finds them very noisy and distracting, though he will admit that they are very handy as messengers and keeping tunnel snakes away.
