Person
Name: Khell
Gender: Male
Age: Seventeen Turns
Sexuality: Bisexual
Rank: Candidate
Family: Head Cook of Crom Hold, Leister – Father
Drudge of Crom Hold, Likhina – Mother
Miner of Crom Hold, Khilin – Brother – 22 Turns
Drudge of Crom Hold, Inilka – Sister – Nineteen Turns
Appearance: Khell has black hair, and rather shaggy black hair at that. It’s straight but often sticks up, so he can be seen trying to flatten his hair a few times throughout the day. His hair is currently on the shorter side but he does want to grow it out to be a bit longer. He stands at a decent 5’9 and has a rather lanky build. He’s tall but svelte, he has no bulging muscles and wasn’t even sure if he could pick up someone the same age as him. Not that he minded, big muscled guys vaguely frightened him. He used to be that pale kid with black hair but over the Turns has (Thankfully) turned his white complexion into a nice soft tan.
His eyes are a soft green color with a few flecks of brown, recessive genes that his siblings didn’t receive. He has a normal mouth, normal sized nose and normal sized ears. He has a knotted looking scar on his neck, starting at the back and ending at the middle of the right side. He has a few other scars, but that’s really the only noticeable one. He doesn’t look all that special and if in a crowd, you probably wouldn’t notice him. At least not by appearance.
Personality: Khell likes organization, but only in terms of appearance. He hates wrinkles on clothes, hates dust on the ground of his room and hates tangled hair. He has no problem with telling you when your outfit doesn’t match or simply just doesn’t look good. He’s a rather blunt person, says what he thinks without realizing that he was probably hurting someone’s feelings. He is a little naïve in that aspect. Apart from appearance though, his quite disorganized. He often loses his items and never finds them again – which greatly annoyed his mother. He generally likes chaos around him simply because he hates silence, especially pregnant pauses.
Generally though, he’s a nice person. He flirts with guys and girls and is fully aware that he is doing it – gender means nothing to him. He’s up for getting into trouble as long as it means that he won’t be caught, punishments were never fun. Some people find him difficult to get along with because of his blunt tendencies so growing up, he didn’t have too many friends. He likes to crack bad jokes and will often add innuendo to something someone said. He has a horrible fear of fire lizards. Every single person in his family, excluding him, had flitts who simply didn’t get along with him. No one was sure why they didn’t like him but they all knew Khell and the critters had a war going on between them. He tries to avoid the creatures whenever possible, convinced that all fire lizards must hate him.
History: His father was a Head Cook, his mother was a drudge. And they had your typical ‘Fell in love at first sight’ story. Within a Turn of meeting, Likhina was pregnant with their eldest son. Two turns after that, Inilka was also born. They took a break after their daughter, their hands were full with two toddlers. Another Two Turns passed and finally Khell was born. He wasn’t a fussy baby growing up, he slept all through the night (He’s still a deep sleeper now) and never wandered off and caused trouble. At least not while he was still young.
When he became a teenager, he would often disappear for great lengths of time – on, what he called, ‘adventures’. His parents were exasperated with him but they couldn’t keep him by their sides so there was really no choice but to let him explore. His siblings enjoyed Crom Hold, everyone knew one and another which was pleasant. Khilin always knew growing up he would be a miner, and their sister knew she would be a drudge. Khell wasn’t content with this though. He didn’t want to be a miner, a cook or anything. In fact, he didn’t want to be confined to the Hold all of his life. A searchdragon came from Telgar Weyr and offered him a way out. It took a lot of talking and trying to convince his parents to let their baby boy go but finally Khell was allowed.
He stood at Telgar and Impressed…nothing. He was left Standing and to be honest, didn’t feel like waiting around for the next Hatching to occur. He was bored with this scenery and all of his friends were now Weyrlings without him. There was really only one choice – Surion Weyr. It was a small Weyr but it would be something new for him, an adventure. Plus who knew, maybe there were some good looking guys and gals waiting for him.

Dragon
Name: Laeth
Color: Up for debate whether he’s a blue or an Ebony
Age: Hatchling
Appearance: Laeth would grow to be a perfect average size when he was older. His hide was an odd color, it was the reason why no one was quite sure what exactly he was. It was a dark color, almost an ebony but there was still slight hints of blue on the hide. When asked about what he is, he simply replies with ‘I’m K’ells!’. He’s often seen wriggling in excitement, his tail thrashing almost like a canine’s.
Personality: Laeth and his rider share quite a few similarities in terms of their personality. Like his rider, Laeth flirted constantly. He would grow to be a great ladies man – only caring about adventures and females. He doesn’t even notice how much he flirts but he’s a natural, even flirting with the human girls. He has a boyish charm around him and prefers to do things himself. He doesn’t like to wait around so he simply makes it happen and deals with it himself. He has a natural feel for time jumping but is normally too excited to actually do it correctly. He’d just leap without much thought unless K’ell was quick enough to stop him.[/center]
