Yimian had woken early, as was her usual habit. Her weyr was, thankfully, cool, catching the few breezes coming in from outside.
She slipped out of bed and dressed, just as the first colors of dawn began to paint the sky.
Micidry was still asleep, she noted, checking on the girl. They had three rather small chambers in the family's weyr, enough to allow adults privacy while still keeping an eye on the child.
T'mil would look after her for today, while Yimian was out in the ffield. They usually traded off. By now, they'd gotten a decent routine set.
The area that comprised the nearby Holds didn't interest her. She
felt that the untaken lands would be the better places to look.
She also agreed with Luna's decision of taking other people with them. The more of them that knew where to look, if needed, the better.
She'd procured some writing materials the day before, to list whatever they found, and locations.
She headed to the Lower Caverns, grabbing a quick cup of klah and some breakfast. She'd take a canteen of fresh water with her, should they be out longer than expected, but other than that she wanted her hands free.
She sat at a table in clear view, for anyone who wanted to approach her.
