Out of Character Rules
- When you join, make a character to submit to Luna and wait for approval before playing. There must be a decent amount of detail to these characters. No two minutes and you're done.
- There is a four character per person limit. You may ask for more if you RP the ones you already have well and often.
- Be conscious of fellow RP'ers. Do not be rude, mean, or discourteous.
- If you have problems with a person, rule, or anything PM Luna to have it sorted out. It is important that everyone enjoy their time at Surion Weyr, without happy RP'ers Surion Weyr is just another dead web page.
- Please use good grammar, spelling, and general writing skills.
- We are Non-Cannon, but for the time being no Mutant Transfers.
In Character Rules
- Do NOT GM (godmodel) or PP (powerplay).
- No one liners. While I don't have an 'advanced' forum I do expect certain things from you. I would like a few sentences at the least. It's not to say it can't happen once in a GREAT while. I understand writer's block as well as the next person.
- Absolutely NO killing of other people's characters without permission. It would be good to first ask the person RP'ing the character and then notify one admin or moderator.
- Use Pernese names when making a character. I don't want to see a character sheet with 'Bob' or 'Susan' as the name. If you have trouble with names please use rinkworks.com/namegen/ to find a good name.
- Pern also has its' own set of oaths. Ex. Shells, Shard, By the First Egg, etc.
- Don't spam the boards. There is an OoC board for talking all you want.
- HAD's and HAF's. The Hear All Dragons and Hear All Fire Lizards. IF I allow HAF's they will be extremely rare. HAD's will also be rare and awarded to only a few people who have shown great skill in RP and have posted often.
- Pets: It is prefered if Candidates have zero to one pet. If you are making a rider more are allowed. I will put no limit, for the moment, but might ask you to adjust your character if you have three queens and five bronze fire lizards. Be reasonable with what you ask.
- If your dragon is speaking, please use the color of the dragon. So a green dragon's speak would look like ~this~.
- If by some fluke a mutant dragon appears the staff will help you find a color for the dragon's speech.
Candidate Rules
- You will start out as a regular character until you are Searched. And you must RP in a Hold for a time to be a Candidate.
*As this Weyr is new this rule won't be in effect yet. All characters will be in the Weyr, Candidates, Riders, and Craftsmen alike. - Female Candidates age range: 15-22
- Male Candidates age range: 12-19
- Once a Candidate, you will be required to complete Candidate chores.
- If you want any chance of Impressing you must RP before the Hatching. Even if you RP excellently and often you still have a chance of not getting a dragon. I wish to play this as real as possible. Every hatching will have less eggs than Candidates. I will draw names from a hat or some other fair way to see which Candidates Impress.
- Your name will not be considered for Impression if you haven't RP'ed enough. Once I have found out who will Impress I will pick egg colors and names. That, at least, isn't random. ~smiles~
- Candidates must wear the ceremonial white robes and sandals for the Hatching.
