Person
[/b]Name: Aifae (Eye-Fah)
Gender: Female
Age: Twenty Turns
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Rank: Greenrider
Family: Journeyman Healer Feigen of Benden Weyr - Father
Tunnelcat Breeder Kaeina of Benden Weyr - Mother
Appearance: When she was thirteen Turns old, Aifae was quite the chubby girl. Was she in shape? Oh no. She was a shape – a circle to be exact. Thankfully over the next seven Turns her extra weight seemed to melt away as she grew. Once a short 4’9 and horribly round, she was now a comfortable 5’6 with a decent body weight. She wasn’t exactly slim but she was no longer large; she was healthy looking. Her round face had softened to a heart shape, a light spattering of freckles across her nose and under her eyes.
Her hair went down to her shoulder blades, auburn curls that somewhat annoyed her. She thought that straight hair was elegant and disliked the fact she was stuck with curly locks. Her eyes were a dark blue, a navy ring on the outside. Her eyes could often be seen glimmering with mischievous thoughts or curiosity. She wasn’t really all that tanned but she wasn’t deathly pale. She didn’t have the beautiful ivory skin that most girls secretly yearned for – she was just, well, pale. There’s a fair number of small scars on her arms, memories of trying to help her mother out with her job.
Personality: The biggest flaw with Aifae is her thoughts concerning authority. She wasn’t a fan of being told what to do especially when it was by bossy bronzeriders who liked to assume they were better than the rest. She didn’t bother trying to hold back her tongue when annoyed with someone who was trying to tell her what to do in a less than polite manner. She tried her best to keep it under control but sometimes it was just simply too hard. She has the habit of talking with her hands, using them to emphasize something she was saying. Of course she also had the tendency to touch people without realizing it; when talking with someone, she would often place her hand on their arm.
A lot of people thought of her as another one of the guys. Her comments could often be seen as crude or filled with innuendo, not that she minded. She didn’t care if she was seen as a guy friend rather than a girl friend. She is a pretty charismatic person, loud and often with a bubbling energy around her. She likes to do things instead of simply sitting there. Aifae enjoyed being kept busy, finding the day a waste if she spent some time just watching the sky. It didn’t matter if it was helping around the Weyr or simply spending time at the Lake.
History: Her parents had practically been together all their life in some sort of fashion. They were born in the same Turn and were best friends throughout their entire life so it simply made sense for them to have a child together. They originally wanted a big family but when Aifae was born they realized that parenting was harder than they thought. So they settled with one child, their daughter. Growing up her father tried to get her interested in Healing but she could never really get into anatomy and medicines. It wasn’t the life she wanted to lead so she often spent time with her mom just to avoid her dads raves about healing.
Aifae’s mother had starting breeding tunnelcats when there was a large amount of tunnelsnakes around the Weyr – she didn’t expect it to become her occupation though. Aifae liked to help her mother out with it but often was scratched and bitten instead which changed her mind about following in her mom’s footsteps. She didn’t have to wonder for too long about what she wanted to do when she grew up because at sixteen Turns she was invited to stand at a hatching. She figured it was worth a shot and if she didn’t Impress that was fine. She was caught offguard however, when a minty green dragon appeared in front of her.
AifaeMine! Your Colvarinth is quite hungry!
The voice was sweet but demanding and it had captured Aifae’s heart within a matter of seconds. For four Turns the pair grew at Benden Weyr before Surion Weyr captured the attention. They had learned everything at Benden (In their opinions) so this seemed like a good time to expand their horizons. They packed their stuff, Aifae’s mom gave her daughter a tunnelcat as a farewell gift and should be arriving at Surion any day now…
Dragon
Name: Colvarinth (Coal-Var-Inth)
Color: Green
Age: Four Turns
Appearance: Colvarinth is a perfect medium size, not too big or too small. She’s a slender dragon whose hide is mostly covered in a mint green. The top of her hide, wing membranes included, was mottled with a soft green just a bit darker than the mint. The tip of her tail, snout and feet were a pearly white. All together she sounds like an odd looking dragon but her colors blended in with one and another.
Personality: Colvarinth, in some aspects, was a mirror image of her rider. Aifae didn’t care much for authority while the green relied on it. She idolized the words of golds and listened carefully to bronzes. She liked authority, it meant order. Unlike some of her green siblings Colvarinth wasn’t a particularly flirtatious dragon. She was rather steady except for when she was nearing flight time. She’s a rather bright dragon with somewhat of a sharp tongue for when it was time for jokes and jibes. Especially at her riders expense.
Pet(s)
Name: Kanor (Kuh-Nor)
Gender: Male
Age: One Turn
Species: Tunnelcat (Ferret)
Appearance: Kanor has a white base coat, his fur was sleek and short. Like most tunnelcats, he had a few brown markings here and there. The more noticeable one was the brown mask around his coal black eyes. He’s about one and a half feet long from snout to tail tip and about 5’’ at the shoulder.
Description: Kanor was bred and raised by Kaeina, a rather sociable critter that she thought her daughter would enjoy. He’s rather quick and can catch a fair number tunnelsnakes which Aifae saw as quite handy. He is a cuddly animal, curling up on laps and slightly nibbling at fingers. Kanor’s rather intelligent too – he’s managed to memorize Aifae’s whistles and knows to return to her side when they are heard.[/center]
